Malus floribunda — 12L Container

Malus floribunda, the Japanese crab apple, is a classic that has graced British gardens since 1862. It flowers earlier than most, with crimson buds opening to a cloud of scented white and pale blush blossom in April and May. Small red and yellow crab apples follow in autumn. A bushy, graceful tree and holder of the RHS Award of Garden Merit.

It grows to around 4m x 3m after 10 years. Grow in full sun or partial shade in fertile, moist but well-drained soil; clay is tolerated. It is self-fertile and an excellent pollinator for nearby apple trees, and needs very little pruning beyond removing any damaged growth in late winter.
