Phormium 'Evening Glow' 3Ltr

A compact, richly coloured New Zealand flax with year-round appeal — arching, sword-shaped leaves carry closely packed, alternating stripes of light and dark pink, edged with broader bronze margins, giving the whole clump a warm, glowing quality reminiscent of its name. Young leaves are held erect, gradually spreading as they mature, and tall panicles of small red flowers may appear on erect stems in late summer. This variety holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit for its outstanding garden performance.

This evergreen perennial forms a neat, compact clump reaching a height and spread of 0.5–1m (1½–3¼ft), making it a superb accent plant for pots, containers, or the front of a border, where its colour can be appreciated up close. It thrives in fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun, and established plants are drought-resistant once settled in.
