Physostegia virg. 'Crystal Peak White' 3L

A neat, compact cultivar of the obedient plant, valued for its sturdy upright habit and abundant late-summer flowers. Dense, spike-like racemes of pure white, tubular flowers - resembling miniature snapdragons - are held on short, robust stems above narrow, toothed, mid-green foliage, blooming from midsummer through to early autumn. Reaching around 40cm in height, it holds itself well without flopping and makes an excellent, long-lasting cut flower, with individual blooms staying put when gently repositioned - hence the common name.

Grow in moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Cut back to the ground after flowering, and divide congested clumps while dormant in winter or early spring to keep growth vigorous and maintain a tidy habit.
