Miscanthus sinensis 'Gold Breeze' (Zebra Grass)

A striking variegated ornamental grass, resembling a more compact, refined form of the classic 'Zebrinus', with distinctive horizontal bands of golden yellow across long, arching green leaves — a feature that catches the light beautifully as the foliage sways in the breeze. In late summer, feathery flower plumes emerge in silver-pink to burgundy tones, holding well into winter, while the foliage itself takes on a bronze hue as autumn progresses.

A dense, clump-forming grass reaching around 1.5 metres in height and spread, making a bold specimen plant or an eye-catching addition to a border, courtyard garden, or large container. Grow in any moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil in a full sun, open position, protecting from excessive winter wet. Fully hardy and low maintenance, it's best divided in spring if needed, though it can be slow to re-establish. Cut back old growth in late winter before new shoots appear.
