Named for its irresistibly fluffy, bunny-tail-shaped flower spikes, Pennisetum 'Red Bunny Tails' is a charming and playful addition to any border. Fresh green foliage forms a neat, compact clump from which showy, reddish-pink plumes rise on upright stems from summer through autumn, adding movement and softness wherever they're planted. As the season progresses, the foliage takes on attractive coppery-bronze tones for extended autumn interest.

Compact and clump-forming, this deciduous grass reaches 0.5–1m in height with a spread of 0.1–0.5m, making it well suited to smaller borders, rock gardens, or grouped plantings where its distinctive flower spikes can be enjoyed at close range. It's particularly effective massed together, where the fluffy plumes create a soft, informal drift of colour.

Grow in full sun in a sheltered spot, in any moist but well-drained soil. This is a low-maintenance grass, needing only a tidy-up in early spring before new growth resumes.
