Narcissus Minnow (15)

A firm favourite for good reason, Narcissus 'Minnow' is a dainty, award-winning miniature daffodil that punches well above its size. Each sturdy stem carries clusters of 2–5 delicate blooms, with creamy-white petals surrounding small, buttercup-yellow cups that fade gently to cream as the flowers age. A recipient of the RHS Award of Garden Merit, it's as reliable as it is charming.

Wonderfully compact at just 15–20cm, Minnow is perfect for rockeries, the front of borders, or clustered in pots and containers, where its sweet fragrance can really be appreciated up close. It multiplies readily, forming ever-larger clumps year after year with very little attention.

Plant bulbs in autumn, at one and a half to two times their own depth, in moderately fertile, well-drained soil that stays reliably moist through the growing season. As with all narcissi, bulbs and sap can be harmful if eaten and may irritate skin, so gloves are recommended when handling.
