Iris Harmony (10)

A firm favourite among the early-flowering reticulata irises, 'Harmony' brings vivid, jewel-bright colour to the garden when little else is stirring. Rich royal-blue flowers are marked with a striped white throat and a bold, sunny yellow central band on the falls, with slightly feathered crests giving each bloom a softly ruffled texture.

Compact and neat at just 12cm, Harmony flowers from late winter into early spring, making it a wonderful choice for pots, rockeries, gravel gardens or the front of a sunny border. Given time, each bulb will multiply into generous, showy clumps of dozens of flowers.

Plant bulbs in autumn, around 8–10cm deep and 8–10cm apart, in well-drained, neutral to slightly alkaline soil in a sunny position. As with all iris, bulbs and sap can be harmful if eaten, so gloves are recommended when handling.

Each bulb is hand-selected before dispatch.
