Apple (Malus) Cox Self Fertile Half Standard MM106

A more highly coloured clone of the classic Cox's Orange Pippin, bred to offer the same superb, aromatic flavour and crisp, juicy texture — but without the need for a pollinating partner. An excellent choice for gardens with space for just one apple tree.

Fruit is medium-sized, with an orange-red flush over a yellow-green background. The flesh is crisp, juicy and richly aromatic, with the classic Cox depth of flavour that's long made it one of Britain's favourite eating apples.

Flowers in mid-season (pollination group 3) and is self-fertile, though it will crop even more heavily with another suitable variety nearby. A spur-bearer with moderate disease resistance. Picked from late September into October and stores well into January.

Supplied as a half standard on semi-vigorous MM106 rootstock, reaching approximately 3–5m in height and spread at maturity, with a clear stem of around 1.5–1.8m — a lovely traditional orchard form for larger gardens.
