Apple (Malus) Cox Self Fertile Cordon M9

A more highly coloured clone of the classic Cox's Orange Pippin, bred to offer the same superb, aromatic flavour and crisp, juicy texture — but without the need for a pollinating partner. An excellent choice for gardens with space for just one apple tree.

Fruit is medium-sized, with an orange-red flush over a yellow-green background. The flesh is crisp, juicy and richly aromatic, with the classic Cox depth of flavour that's long made it one of Britain's favourite eating apples.

Flowers in mid-season (pollination group 3) and is self-fertile, though it will crop even more heavily with another suitable variety nearby. A spur-bearer, making it well suited to trained forms. Picked from late September into October and stores well into January.

Grown as a cordon on dwarfing M9 rootstock, reaching approximately 2–2.5m in height when trained on a single stem — a space-saving way to grow this classic favourite along a wall, fence, or in a smaller garden.
