Parsley Flat Leaved 9cm

Also known as Italian or French parsley, this variety brings flat, bright green leaves and a stronger, more pungent flavour than its curled cousin — a favourite with cooks for its clean, peppery taste and the ease with which it chops. A useful addition to any herb bed, border edge, or container by the kitchen door.

Plant into moist, free-draining soil enriched with well-rotted organic matter, or into a peat-free multi-purpose compost if growing in containers, choosing a pot at least 25cm wide and deep. Grow in full sun to partial shade and keep the soil consistently moist, particularly during dry spells, as parsley won't tolerate drying out. Pick leaves regularly from the outside of the plant to encourage fresh growth throughout the season, and remove any flower stems as they appear to keep the plant productive for longer.
