Miscanthus 'Lady in Red' 3ltr

A show-stopping ornamental grass with a striking, ever-changing display of colour. Arching, strap-like leaves emerge in spring in dark purple and green, deepening in intensity as the season progresses before transforming into a blaze of vivid red as autumn temperatures drop. From late summer, wiry stems carry graceful, silvery-cream flower plumes with dark purple anthers, held above the foliage and catching the light beautifully when backlit by the sun.

This deciduous, clump-forming perennial grass reaches a height of around 1.2m (4ft), with a similar spread, bringing structure, movement, and multi-season interest to sunny borders, mixed plantings, or large containers. It thrives in moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun, and is drought-tolerant once established, though it appreciates protection from excessive winter wet.
