Carex comans Frosted Curls 2Ltr

An evergreen sedge grown almost entirely for its foliage, forming a dense, mop-like tussock of very slender, silvery-green leaves that curl gently towards their tips. The effect is soft and shimmering, giving the plant its "frosted" name, and it holds its colour and form right through the year. Tiny green flower spikes appear in summer, but they're a minor detail against the foliage, which is the real draw.

A compact, low-growing sedge, it typically reaches 25-30cm (10-12in) in height and spread, making it especially useful at the front of a border, cascading over the edge of a raised bed or wall, or planted in a winter container alongside bulbs. It's happy in full sun or light shade, and while adaptable to most soil types, it does best in well-drained ground enriched with organic matter. Undemanding once established, non-toxic to pets, and a reliable choice for low-maintenance planting schemes.
