An impressive English shrub rose bred by David Austin and introduced in 2015, named for Samuel Taylor Coleridge's epic poem, The Rime of the Ancient Mariner. Bears masses of large, many-petalled blooms (40+ petals) on a bushy, quite upright shrub, glowing mid pink at the centre and paling gracefully towards the edges, eventually revealing a charming cluster of golden stamens as the flower matures. Carries a medium-strong, warm myrrh fragrance typical of many of the best English roses. Foliage is medium-sized and light green. A reliable repeat bloomer, flowering in flushes from late spring right through the growing season. Versatile in the garden — equally at home in a mixed border, as a rose hedge, in a pot, or in a shadier spot. Reaches around 125cm in both height and spread.
Each rose is hand-selected to reach you in the best possible condition.
