The fern-like, dark green leaves turn fiery shades of orange and red in autumn, a striking contrast with the pale fruit.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThe spring blossom feeds bees and other pollinators, and the berries give birds food later in the season. The fruit is ornamental and shouldn't be eaten by people or pets, so wear gloves when handling berried branches.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eGrow in full sun or light shade, in moderately fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil.
