The flesh is creamy-white, soft and juicy, with a rich, aromatic flavour and a distinctive hint of aniseed, which tends to develop more strongly the longer the fruit is kept — best enjoyed fresh if you're not a fan of that note.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eA partial tip-bearer, reliable and a good cropper. Flowers late in the season (pollination group 4), making it a great choice for cooler areas, and is partially self-fertile, though it crops best with a nearby pollinating partner. Notably strong resistance to scab and frost damage.
